A stationary inspired by a wallpaper
I was watching the movie “The Earrings of Madame de…” (1953) one night and noticed a wallpaper in the background that I thought was interesting. It is classic looking however I haven’t really seen this style in a room before. I loved the pattern of simple and minimal leaves repeating in a way that makes it look abundant. And then a simple yet lavish (possibly gold foil?) "x” to represent the ribbon tied around the garland.
I transformed this into a stationary and loved the formality of the look. Now I want to get back to communicating through old school snail mail…
